This was my first time attempting to study Arabic and I have really enjoyed Quest 1. So pleased, honestly didn't think I would make it through even Quest 1 when I started! Each lesson is so well thought out, easy to follow and great that I can do it in my own time. Nazmina makes sure to present in a relatable and easy to digest manner. I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to take this Quranic Arabic course! For years I’ve tried to learn Arabic through one method or another, but with small children it was difficult to incorporate learning into my schedule. However with Arabiq Online and the way it has been developed, it’s easy for me to learn around my busy schedule and still see my progress quickly, which is very encouraging. The lessons are interesting, concise and build upon each other that makes it easier to grasp and retain the lessons being taught. Also, the information is relevant and I am able to immediately see the difference in my understanding when I read Quran.

Since I started learning Qur'anic Arabic with Nazmina, I feel I've been able to open the Qur'an and gain a better understanding of what I am reading Alhamdulillah. The rules in each lesson are explained thoroughly, with detailed and fun exercises to ensure they are fully understood and retained in one's mind. This has helped me apply what I have learnt when I read the Qur'an.
I loved how the lessons were structured and explained in detail, so that the students are left with a sound understanding of each of the rules. The Qur'anic gem was the icing on the cake, which helped me understand how the rules are practically applied in the Qur'an and this also taught me some lovely new facts relating to the Qur'an. In addition to this, I thoroughly enjoyed the vocab practice, which is designed to cater for different learning styles, using methods such as: flash cards, matching games, spelling tests etc.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this course alhamdulillah - all the resources have been put together in such a way so as to optimise learning and progression - video, flashcards and vocab games, exercises and the beautiful Qur’anic gems just waiting to be discovered at the end of every lesson…Nazmina has included it all! Having found Arabic grammar quite tricky in the past, I was particularly grateful for how it’s been taught in such an accessible manner here. Thank you, Nazmina. Every time I read the Qur’an and am able to understand and appreciate the beauty in its verses and linguistic marvels, I think of you and send loads of du’as your way.
I loved how thorough everything was. As a teacher myself, I can definitely see that you put a lot of time into compiling these lessons, vocab, exercises, and Quranic gems. I loved the insertion of the sounds because as a non-native Arab, sometimes I mispronounce words and it's nice to have them articulated for us. Your promptness in answering any questions was amazing - I felt so looked after. In addition, I loved how it was a self paced course; so when life got busy, I knew I wasn't "falling behind" in my course work.

Loved the way the whole Quest 1 exercises, lessons, colorful charts, basically everything has been structured.
Nazmina's explanations are easy to understand. She goes out of her way to add more to her explanations than what you see in front of you and manages amazingly to connect it all with different verses and surahs.
This makes it not only enjoyable whilst reciting but you feel happy that now I'm actually able to translate words, at times even phrases and get the gist of what a verse is saying.

Really enjoyed this course and very happy with how much more I can understand vocabulary and grammar. One of the words for ‘learning’ in Arabic is ṭalab: to seek, to go on a quest. By seeing the word Quest every time you log in, I want you to be reminded of the loftiness of what you are undertaking: that you’re seeking true knowledge. It’s not just a level or module to be ticked off, but a serious undertaking.
You only need to be able to read Arabic. You do not need to have any prior knowledge of the Arabic language itself or be fluent at reading the Qur’an. In fact, by studying with Arabiq Online, your recitation will automatically improve as you start understanding more of what you are reading.
Absolutely! (Most women still consider themselves 'girls' too!) We think teens will find it especially beneficial. As long as you can read Arabic and enjoy learning the workings of a new language, you'll be fine!
In addition to your own student portal with all the learning materials you need easily accessible on your dashboard and optimized for mobile devices, all students will have a free live monthly tutorial with Nazmina to ask any questions and keep their progress going. They also have access to email support, as well as a supportive community of fellow female students from all over the world in an exclusive Facebook group.
There are many Arabic courses out there for men, taught by men, whereas the online courses tailored specifically to women's Arabic education needs are few and far between. Additionally, the instructor is female and understands how multi-tasking women learn best, guided by feedback from her students, so this course has been created with women in mind.
The grammatical structures in both are actually the same, with Qur’anic Arabic having a few more archaic styles thrown in such as oaths and emphatic statements. On the whole though, it is really only the vocabulary which differs, so here you will be learning Qur’anic vocabulary such as: earth, sky, guidance, light, darkness, belief, family, piety and soul, whereas in MSA you would learn more modern words such as: butter, jam, the United Nations, conference, journalist, kangaroo and classroom. Like any language, Qur’anic Arabic is a transferable skill, where it is just a case of acquiring new vocabulary as and when you need it.

All languages have grammar as that is what allows us to speak and communicate correctly following rules. Unfortunately, the majority of native English speakers have not learned English through grammar, so many people don’t know the labels for words that they use every day: nouns, verbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and often it is these labels and new terminology that throw us off, and not the actual grammar.
Worry not! I have done my best to simplify Arabic grammar as much as possible, avoiding unnecessary jargon, and dealing with it on a need-to-know basis, and we will start from the very beginning. Learning grammar is actually one of the most rewarding aspects of learning Qur’anic Arabic because it allows us to really see how the language comes together, and understand why Allah may have chosen a certain structure over another.
Nope, no exams here. Your progress is assessed through end-of-lesson quizzes. Progression onto the following lesson is unlocked once you have completed the tasks and quiz for the current lesson. Don’t worry, you can take the quizzes as many times as you like.
